Tracking a shipment is an important process step within a transport company. By this we mean the handling process after loading or unloading an order. It is perfectly possible to register this within Transpas. We call this shipment follow-up. Delivery statuses are closely related to this.
Without any set-up, it is already possible to manually track a shipment. Just set the field below in the order screen to ‘Yes’ for a specific shipment:
In the screen Shipment follow-up this shipment is now visible for further follow-up.
There are many reasons for shipment follow-up:
For example a pallet is missing when loading the goods, a customer is not at home when the goods are delivered, goods that are damaged, etc.
Goods lines can individually be tracked.
On the page below some practical examples are given.
Delivery statuses are statuses visible underneath the order. In Transpas you will find the tab Delivery status under the shipment (and also under the goods lines and goods items). This actually shows you history of a shipment.
For standard system operations such as:
a delivery status is automatically generated.
Delivery statuses can be set for other process actions. These delivery statuses can be created manually, but they can also be generated automatically based on the data received from the on-board computer. This means that shipments with irregularities can be followed up immediately.
