Shipment follow-up means: follow up a shipment because there is something wrong with it. By setting the checkbox Follow-up to Yes for a delivery status, a shipment will be visible in the Shipment Follow-up screen if this status has been applied to the shipment.
This screen is intended for the customer service department to handle these shipments manually and then turn off the follow-up. The intention is therefore to keep this screen as empty as possible.
Below is an overview of the meaning of the buttons shown at the top of the screen.
Jump to booking | Jump to the booking to which this shipment belongs |
Calculate | Re-calculate the booking/shipments after changing underlying data |
Jump to planning | Jump to the planning screen, and select the shipment (when unplanned) or activity (when planned) |
Jump to invoice | Jump to the invoice and select the shipment on that invoice |
Follow-up on | Set the shipment to Follow-up = Yes. A red exclamation mark is visible in the sequence number. |
Follow-up off | Mark this shipment as Follow-up = No |
Start follow-up | Fills in the username in this shipment of the user who monitors this shipment |
Follow-up action | Opens the Follow-up action dialogue in which manual handling takes place |
In the screen Follow-up action parameters screen the shipment can be handled manually. By default this is done for all goods lines, a number of goods lines can also be selected, for example not all goodslines are delivered or pickup. When creating the new shipment(s), only the selected goods lines are copied.
Shipment follow-up actions are actions that can be defined and activated when follow-up a shipment.
In a follow-up action you mark exactly what should happen when you call this action.
Here you indicate what should be done with the shipment.
For example whether a new shipment, a return (depot)shipment or subsequent delivery must be created.
You can also record who is the cause, indicate if the original shipment should continue to be followed up (field follow-up shipment -> Yes), or whether it should be finished by applying the follow up action.
