At planning group level, the time range of trips and unplanned loads in the planning can be adjusted. This allows shipments from the past or future to be displayed.
This can be found under Main files -> Planning -> Plangroups -> Extra parameters
Under the heading Standard screen filters there are two settings:
A period can be entered here (See below for more information).
It is important to realize that the date in the planning itself can be selected.
The date is at the top of the screen:
The reference date is used in the time range.
Here you can create your own period.
All periods have a time unit, a negative offset and a positive offset:
Time unit | This can be days, weeks, months, years, etc. |
Negative offset | The amount of time units in the past is considered |
Positive offset | The amount of time units in the future is considered |
Current week / Current month / Current period / Current year
The difference here is that, for example, the current week is based on a week number.
For example:
A trip falls within the range if the start date, end date or a date in between matches the reference date.
If no time range has been set for the trips, the default is a negative and positive offset of 0 days. This means that all trips that are driven on the reference date are visible (or, for multi-day trips, where the reference date is the start date, end date or a date in between).
For trips it is important that All plan groups is turned off. The time range can be set per plan group.
Example
Time unit: Day(s)
Negative offset: 0
Positive offset: 5
Trips from the past are not visible, trips up to 5 days in the future are visible.
A shipment falls within the range if the loading date matches the reference date.
Shipments with a loading date from the past remain always visible.
The negative offset therefore does nothing for unplanned shipments.
If no time range is set, the default is a positive offset of 0 days. This means that shipments with a loading date equal to the reference date are visible.
Example
If you want to have tomorrow's shipments visible in advance, set the following:
Time unit: Day(s)
Positive offset: 1
