Within Transpas plangroups are used. With a plangroup ruleset, a shipment, or a sub leg after splitting, can automatically be assigned to the correct plangroup. The Plangroup rulsets screen is available for this via F11 -> Plangroup rulesets.
To create a new plangroup ruleset, the ruleset must first be created.
Create a new line at the top of the screen and give the ruleset a description.
The description can be chosen freely.
After creating the ruleset, create a Date from line. This is the date from which the rules become active.
This makes it possible to prepare new rules without them immediately becoming active.
Rules have conditions and a result. The white fields are the conditions, the yellow fields the result fields.
The rules are evaluated from top to bottom. Lines can be moved up and down using the green arrows on the left. As soon as a shipment meets all the conditions of a line, it will receive the plan group set in the yellow field of that line. The rules below that line will not be evaluated. Each plangroup ruleset therefore results in one plangroup / plangroup type per shipment (or sub leg).
Below is an example of a rule set.
All shipments from customer Art Systems are given the plangroup Dedicated. This line must be above line 2, otherwise shipments from client Art Systems within the Netherlands will still receive plangroup Netherlands. All shipments that are loaded in the Netherlands but not unloaded in the Netherlands are assigned plangroup Export. All other shipments that do not meet the above conditions will receive plangroup Europe.
Before a plangroup ruleset works, it must be linked to a department.
Open the screen Departments via F11 -> Departments.
In the Plangroup ruleset field, select the just created ruleset.
The selected plangroup ruleset is now used for all shipments of that department.
It has already been mentioned in this article that a sub leg can have its own plangroup.
This can be enabled or disabled on the plangroup(s).
Open the screen Plangroups via F11 -> Plangroups.
The Extra parameters tab contains the option Determine plangroup on planlegs.
If this option is off, the plangroup of the order will be used.
