A shipment in Transpas has both a unit and a tariff unit.
With a tariff unit it is possible to rate something other than the number of units in the shipment.
Examples are pricing on payload, weight, loading meter, packages, pallet spaces or driving time.
Through customization it is possible to meet special requests here.
How tariff number and tariff unit are filled is set in the Units screen: via the conversion, weight, loading meter, etc. are automatically filled. The unit type is used to set how tariff number and tariff unit are established.
Below are 10 euro pallets filled in. Transpas automatically fills in the weight (300 kg), number of loading meters (0,4 ldm) and length and width (121x120 cm).
Autofill is set in the Units screen, Conversions tab:
The euro pallet has been set to weigh 25 kg and take up 0.4 loading metres.
At the top of the line, the length and width have been filled in.
It has also been set that
Various conversion rules can be created via the yellow fields Company, Product and Customer.
Suppose that one customer requests that euro pallets with roof tiles be loaded less heavily, then this is set as follows:
The conversion is done when a unit is entered. The conversion can be performed again by entering the unit again.
The conversion is also done for EDI Orders, but here the information from the import is leading, a conversion for an EDI Order only fills in values in empty fields
In the Units screen, a new unit is given the unit type Units.
Then, when entering the unit, the tariff number is made equal to the number.
A large number of other options can be filled in for the unit type.
In the example below, the unit type LoadingMeter has been entered for euro pallet.
Also, the Transport tariff unit LDM has been entered:
The number of loading meters is then entered in the rate number on the shipment, and LDM is selected as the rate unit:
Other unit types for the screenshot above:
Rate quantity and rate unit are entered when selecting the unit.
To run this calculation again, enter the quantity or unit again.
Select Payload as unit type to have the number of payloads filled in for the rate number.
See also the article on payload calculation for more information.
It is possible to use hours as a rate unit, but this is not included in the package as standard.
In short, an extra column must be added via the Shipment column definitions screen:
Then set the chosen field as unit type: Qty1, Qty2, Qty3 or Qty4.

In the Units screen, you can also set scales under Advanced conversions:
In the example above,
