Balance items are legal vacation hours, extra-legal vacation hours, time for time hours, ATV hours and PKB hours.
After creating a new salary period, balance items will also have to be created for the new year.
First create a salary period, only then will a new year be added to the Employee opening balances screen.
F11 -> Main files -> Time registration -> Balanceitem types
Here, create new lines with WV, BWV, PKB and ATV for the new year.
The start date for all types is 1-1, the end date differs per item. Enter the correct Balance item type.
F11 -> Main files -> Time registration -> Begin balances
Select the new year at the top left and then click on Create begin balances on the right.
Select the employees who will be working hours in the new year and click OK.
Check again at the bottom right whether all balance items are shown with the correct opening balances.
Halfway through the year, a driver points out that there is no ATV on the hours overview. These were not added in December.
