Safety & Security / ENS information is often required for routes outside the EU, for example to and from the UK. The data can be entered on the shipments.
This concerns data such as:
-
Product description
-
Weight
-
HS Code
- Can be entered in the Commodity Code field on the shipments (this field is also available at Goods level)
-
Package type
- Will be determined based on the Unit, or Package unit in combination with Colli if these have been filled in.
- The correct codes can be entered in the Units screen, in the "Customs code" field.
- If a required code needs to be different for a particular provider, the correct code can be linked in the EDI Providers screen, on the Units tab.
- If no unit code has been defined in either place, the Default unit code on the Crossing provider account will be sent.
-
Sender & Receiver
- Sender and receiver can simply be entered on the shipments.
EORI numbers may also have to be provided. This can be entered in the Relations screen, External References tab. This same information is available in Financial relations on the Miscellaneous tab, under the heading Reference kinds.
- To record this correctly, make sure two reference kinds are added in the Relation reference kinds screen. One with type “EU-EORI number” and one with type “UK-EORI number”:
-
- UK-EORI will only be needed for crossings to the UK. EU-EORI number will only be needed for crossings with an EU country as final destination.
- EORI numbers of your own company can be entered in the Companies screen, General tab, under the heading References.
-
Customs document number & Customs status
- This information can be entered on the Customs tab for the shipments.
-
Destin8 badge code from customs agent (for UK import)
- The Destin8 badge code can be entered as a relation reference, just like the EORI number. This must be done with the type “Destin8 badge”.
- Relations can be added as customs agents in the Customs brokers screen.
- This customs agent relation can be entered for the shipments on the Customs tab, with Customs procedure “Import”.
-
GGB / CHED shipment references
- When importing animal products to the EU, the document number of the “Gemeenschappelijk Gezondheidsdocument van Binnenkomst” (GGB) / “Common Health Entry Document” (CHED) must often be provided
- This document number can be entered on the References tab for the shipments.
- The correct reference type can be created in the Shipment reference types screen. Make sure that CHED / GGB number is selected for Type.
-
GMR number
- The GMR number can be entered on the crossing order itself.
Some input fields and tabs may still need to be made visible via Usergroup object access. Please contact the helpdesk if you need assistance with this.
¶ Working method for Stena Line, P&O and Eurotunnel
For Stena Line, P&O and Eurotunnel there is a separate function for passing on the above data.
If this information is required when crossing with these companies, it is first important that the “Customs information required” field is set to Yes in the Crossings screen.
You can then use a right-mouse function on the booked crossing order to send the data:
If the data has been successfully processed on the crossing company's side, the “Customs info sent” field will be set to Yes:
