By receiving and importing order statuses (TLN definition), the shipments in Transpas Enterprise are updated with the realized times, statuses and PODs of third parties to whom the shipment has been outsourced.
The article below explains how these TLN statuses can be imported into Transpas Enterprise.
When statuses are received from multiple parties, repeat the steps for each party.
Open the Filesystem watcher screen.
Create a new line here and give it a meaningful description.
In the Directory field, enter the file path of the folder from which the status messages should be imported.
These can be placed in that folder, for example, by email or via FTP.
In the Filter field set *.xml
.
In the Action field, select number 2391 – TLN Status import
Enter a value for the Error folder and Backup folder fields.
For example Failed and Backup respectively.
Often the statuses provided by the other party do not correspond one-to-one with an existing status in Transpas. To ensure that the correct status is linked when importing, a link must be made between the supplied and existing statuses. This is done in a carrier statuslist.
In a carrier statuslist, the activity type is also linked (for example loading or unloading) and the option of whether the start and end time on the trip should be updated can be set. The statuses and times can be seen on the trip as they would with an on-board computer status.
Open the Carrier statuslists screen.
Create a new line in the top part of the screen and give it a description.
Then, on the Status codes tab, link the status codes to be received to an existing delivery status in Transpas and the correct activity type.
In the example below, the incoming status code LOS (from the other party) is linked to the delivery status LOSSEN (from Transpas).
Open the EDI Provider screen. Create a new EDI Provider for this party and link the just created Carrier statuslist in the field of the same name on the General tab.
Now return to the Filesystem watcher screen and link the created EDI Provider to the created Filesystem watcher line.
The setup is now ready.
Set the Filesystem watcher to Active = Yes to start importing the statuses
