With the route planner in Transpas Enterprise, routes and trips can be entered and calculated manually.
This calculation is performed using the PTV Developer service.
The route is automatically calculated based on the selected vehicle profile
Distance, duration, and toll are calculated
The profile is determined according to the waterfall principle
Calculate Route
Calculates the route, including distance, duration, and toll costs. The calculation is performed using the configured vehicle profile and map settings.
Optimize Route Order
Optimizes the sequence of route points and then performs step 1.
The optimization takes into account the following rules:
Loading must occur before unloading
Opening hours of each address
Imported activity time windows, if available
Since the day of the week is part of a time window, the route start time is also relevant
The planning horizon is fixed to 7 days and cannot be changed.
This defines the number of days over which time windows are evaluated, starting from the route’s start time.
Reverse Route
Reverses the current order of route points.
New Route
Creates a new route manually from scratch.
Load Saved Route from File
Imports a previously saved route configuration from a file.
Save Route to File
Exports the current route to a file for reuse or backup.
Insert Address from Database
Adds an address directly from the Transpas database to the current route.
Location Search Method
Defines how a location can be searched and added:
Free – Allows manual input of any search text, e.g. “9727 DL 1”, “Groningen, Rozenb 1”, or “Rozenburg Gron 1”.
Structured – Input fields for individual address components, such as street, city, and house number.
Route Segment (Resource Combination)
When a trip is displayed, it may consist of multiple route segments.
Each segment represents a resource combination (e.g., a specific vehicle, driver, or trailer), as calculated in the background.
By double-clicking on a result, it is added to the route.
When a route segment is selected, the result list, route points, start time, and the route displayed on the map are limited to the chosen segment.
Route points can be moved by dragging with the mouse or by using CTRL + arrow keys.
