A book year is a period of twelve months in which a company measures its financial perfomance. The bookyear can coincide with the calender year (January - December) but it can start on another date.
In Transpas bookyears, periodes and weeks have to be generated so that revenue can be booked in the right period. A new bookyear usually is made just before the previous bookyear ends. It is also possible to create bookyears for multiple years at once.
When there is no bookyear for a year, you can't enter orders in Transpas for that year.
On of the following error messages will appear:
Field "Book year" must have a value
Field "Period" must have a value
Field "Week" must have a value
In the period you can set a date from, date till and a period date.
The period date is used in the equalization method.
Check if the beginning of the periods and weeks are in line with the end of the previous year.
When there is a gap, orders can be put in the wrong period / week.
In the example below 1-1-2024 is red, meaning the last month of 2023 doesn't end on 31-12-2023. Adjust the dates manually so no dates are missing or overlap each other.
