The Enterprise Planner is a paid module within Transpas Enterprise that provides a graphical resource planning board based on a Gantt chart. This planner offers a clear, visual representation of when and for how long vehicles, drivers, or other resources are scheduled. Thanks to its intuitive timeline structure, you can immediately see which resources are available and where potential bottlenecks may arise. This makes planning more efficient, user-friendly, and manageable for dispatchers in transport organizations.
To work with the Enterprise Planner, we advise to use the following settings:
With this control you can select the resourceprofile. Resourceprofiles can be made in different variations, but determine the number of resources on the panel.
With the Date Selector you can select the plandate, and spread the panel to the number of days (max 6 days available)
In contrast to the tripplanning screen, the plangroup selector only applies to the unplanned shipments. Trips are not being filtered on this setting. You will always see all trips for the selcted resources. With the button All plangroups, you can select shipments from all plangroups.
By pressing this button, you see only the resources planned at the moment.
The left side of the panel shows the resources. These resources can be defined by the use of resourceplanning profiles. These are the same profiles already used for the resourceplanning.
In top of the panel you can see the timeline, based on 0 till 6 days. The vertical lines can be made wider or smaller, depening on th scope of planning. The red vertical line shows the actual time.
The panel itself can be zoomed in or out with CTRL + mousewheel.
In the middle of the panel it shows the bars wit information about trips. There are 3 types of bars or blocks:
The meaning of the inside of a stop block(2) is:
(3) Activityduration
(4) Driving time to the next stop
(5) Waiting time on the next stop, before loading
A tripcombination bar (or trip) has always the color of his plangroup, unless a signalcolor is set on the trip. The that will overrule the plangroupcolor. You can drag the bar from 1 resource to another or in time.
A stop block has a small description of the stop. The width of the block is filled out until the starttime of the next stop. The black line (4) shows the driving time from this stop to the next stop. Left of it (3), it shows the activity time, right of the black line (5) it shows the waiting time, before you can start the actvity on the next stop.
These block can be dragged to set the correct order within a trip. You can also drag a block to Unplanned shiments tab, in order to unplan this stop.
A scheduled item (6) can be made with the right mouse button. For example a maintenance appointment of a truck in the workshop.
Unplanned shipments
It shows the unplanned shipments, based on the plangroupselcetor in top of the screen. Just liek in the normal tripplanning screen, you can drag and drop shipments from this tab on the panel. Which will create a new trip , or you can add it to an existing trip. You can also drag a shipment to the right tab Stop or Tripactivity
Unplanned trips
This tab can be used as kind of capacity planning. It show all trips without a truck/trailer/driver. Which means someone can make trips, where another one can drags these trips on a resource in on the panel.
Transits
Items can be dragged from the panel to this tab, in order to generate a transit.
Map
You can drag pinpoint from the map to the panel , in order to make or complete a trip. Unplanned shipments are visible on the map as loading and or unloading point.
Trips
Shows all trips on te panel. You can also change resources in this tab.
Plangrid stops
Shows all stops on the panel.
Appointments
Shows all appointments on the panel. Appointments can be deleted here.
On the bottom right side, you will find the tabs you are already familiar with in trip planning screen.
Right after dragging a shipment on the panel, the driving times between the different stops are not known, yet. These are being calculation in the background. Therefore a temporary timecalculation (As The Crow Flies) is used as estimation of the duration of the stops.
When the drivingtime is not calculated, this is visible in the tab Tripactivites as a small crow icon. Once the routeplanner is ready, the crow disappears.
